Beyond a number of other projects that he has diligently facilitated over the years, Brandon has been leading his own research on boulder displacement during shallow landslide events in the Box Springs and Blue Mountains of southern California. Over the past year, he was awarded undergraduate research and travel grants from the Environmental Sciences Department to help support his work. His recent presentation received 1st place at UCR GIS Day poster competition, and Brandon just used his travel grant to successfully present his findings at the 2019 AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco. Brandon is currently preparing a manuscript on his research for submission in early 2020 and is applying to a number of outstanding graduate programs in geomorphology. Go Brandon!
